Kamarul Kassim is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the finance industry. He has achieved success in various roles, such as venture capital, private equity, financial consulting, equity research, and external audit. Kassim has led a private equity firm backed by a conglomerate focused on partnering with small and mid-cap companies to provide growth equity and other value-added services. Among other accomplishments, he has also set up a venture capital fund and team from the ground up and sourced deals while leading investments into several tech companies. In his previous roles, Kassim has developed a wealth of skills, perspectives, insights, and relationships, which he brings to the table for the organizations and projects he supports.

Kassim holds a First Class Honours degree in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University, and he's also an ACCA qualified accountant. He is an Angel Investor at Slurp! Point of Sale, and he previously invested in Etesha, Inference, and Akru. Kassim has held notable positions like Managing Partner and Investment Committee Member at Naza Capital, Principal Officer, and Investment Committee Member at Axiata Digital Innovation Fund (ADIF), and Vice President, Investments at Malaysia Venture Capital Management.
