Sharon Stapel
Sharon Stapel is a prominent legal professional, esteemed educator, and accomplished leader who has made significant contributions to the legal and nonprofit sectors. She received her JD in law from the City University of New York School of Law and a dual BA/BS in Women's Studies and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Stapel has worked in several legal organizations, including The Legal Aid Society, Legal Services NYC, and Nonprofit New York. She also served as the Executive Director of the New York City Anti-Violence Project, where she spearheaded efforts to address violence against LGBTQ individuals. Currently, Stapel is the Executive Director of Legal Hand, Inc, where she leads the nonprofit organization's mission to provide free legal services to underprivileged communities. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hunter College and City University of New York School of Law, Stapel utilizes her experiences and expertise as a platform for educating students on legal and social justice issues.
