Steve Kaplan is a well-known name in the world of comedy writing and performing. He is an expert in his field and has authored two published books including "The Hidden Tools of Comedy" and "The Comic Hero's Journey" along with his other duties as a script consultant and lecturer. He has earned his master's degree from California State University-Northridge and his bachelor's degree in drama from Hofstra University. He is also known for his services as Executive Director at HBO New Writer's Project and as owner of Steve Kaplan's Comedy Intensive. Along with his interest in comedy writing, Steve is currently working on his third book that focuses on writing comedy specifically for television.
