As part of the new cohort of Knight News Innovation Fellows at Columbia University's Tow Center for Digital Journalism, I researched the structural implications of AI in the news for the public arena and how a re-tooling of the news through AI reinforces existing dependencies of news organisations on the technology sector.

As the acting editor of the European Journalism Observatory, I oversaw all aspects of the EJO’s English activities and was responsible for commissioning, writing and editing stories for the EJO, as well as shaping its strategic outlook. 

As part of a network of 14 language sites across Europe that focuses on research and trends in media and journalism, the EJO aims to bring (European) media research, industry perspectives and background stories to a wider audience.

Contributed to study designs, data collection, analysis, and co-authored and presented reports.
