Felix Jackson is a renowned physician and entrepreneur in the health and care sector. He is a trained Anaesthetist, having gained his MRCP with the Royal College of Anaesthetists, and is now focused on developing digital technologies for healthcare. Jackson co-founded medDigital, a digital health communications agency, in 2008, and worked alongside the team to achieve great success, working with a variety of organizations such as the NHS, charities and the life science industry. With his passion for digital health tech, Jackson went on to establish medCrowd, the secure instant messenger for health and care that protects confidential information to required standards. Jackson's efforts have been recognized by various organizations, including the prestigious Brand Amplifier MedTech Fit Society Silver Award and being selected as a member of DigitalHealth.London's first startup cohort. He also supported the GSTT Charity's Further Faster initiative to assist SMEs and the NHS to work together better. Jackson's professional background is diverse, having initially trained as a doctor at The London Hospital Medical School, where he also studied for his Bachelor of Science degree, and completing his further training at Winchester College. He has held various positions, serving as a Medical Officer and Divemaster at Coral Cay Conservation, a Surgical and Orthopaedic House Officer at Barts and The London NHS Trust, an Anaesthetic Senior House Officer at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, and a Senior Medical Advisor in HIV Medicine and Digital Commerce at GlaxoSmithKline, among others.
