Felipe Rangel

Felipe Augusto Rangel is an Amazon Software Development Engineer with a focus on pursuing a dual degree in Software Engineering and Economics at the University of Miami, expected to graduate in 2023.

Having extensive expertise in C++ and Python, Felipe has conducted research in machine learning techniques, showing a strong interest in cloud development, artificial intelligence, and cyber security.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Miami. Prior to this, he excelled academically at Miami Country Day School, graduating with a remarkable GPA.

Throughout his academic journey, Felipe has demonstrated leadership and involvement in several organizations, serving as a Senator for the College of Engineering, President of the University of Miami Chapter at SHPE, and a MLT Career Prep Fellow at Management Leadership for Tomorrow, among others.

His professional experience encompasses a variety of roles, including Software Development Engineering Intern at Amazon Web Services, President and Lead at the Google Developer Student Clubs at the University of Miami, and Software Engineer Intern at BetaBlocks.

In addition to his roles in the tech industry, Felipe has been actively engaged in his community, having served as a Summer Camp Counselor at Miami Country Day School and held the position of Cinematic Arts Commission Treasurer at Hurricane Productions.
