Tracey Trench

Tracey Trench is a highly experienced content strategist, producer, and entrepreneur with an impressive track record in the entertainment industry. With years of experience working in Hollywood, China, and Europe, she has developed an expertise in bridging content and technology. Tracey has a strong background in running companies, managing productions, finding franchise concepts, and discovering emerging and under-served audiences. She has produced a range of film, television, documentary, short-form, and theater content and currently works as a creative/production consultant on various projects.

Tracey has been the Consulting CEO to a new global wellness content platform in the build phase and is currently involved in a seed raise for a unique kids games platform that teaches empathy. She was the Head of Content for Discovery’s international digital kids platforms and helped build and launch two Discovery subscription platforms, producing over 200 episodes of content. Tracey was also the #4 employee/Head of Content for the building of Dreamworks Animation's Shanghai studio venture (Pearl). She has worked with every major Hollywood studio and many TV networks.

A Harvard graduate with a magna cum laude in Anthropology and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School, Tracey has also lectured at Harvard Business School and taught international masterclasses in storytelling. She is the founder of Content Ventures at Watoto Media and has been the CEO/Producer at Tracey Trench Productions. Additionally, she has held several executive producer positions at various film studios including MGM, The Walt Disney Company, and Paramount Pictures. She was the Lead Producing Team for the Broadway run of musical “Grey Gardens,” which won three Tony Awards.

Tracey's expertise and skills include corporate strategy, business development, business plans, financial modeling, content creation, and creative/production consultation. She is also a liaison to the Hong Kong Trade Council and a Grand Judge for the Beijing International Screenwriting Competition. Her interests include building global platforms, programming, and creating worldwide content, discovering emerging and under-served audiences, and finding franchise concepts.
