Tara Chandi

Tara Chandi is an accomplished Product Designer with a passion for social and economic justice. With over six years of experience in the field, Tara has honed her skills in data analytics and engineering, allowing her to approach complexity and distill it to its simplest human-centered essence. She has worked closely with engineering, product, and business teams to imagine, build, and ship successful products in several fields. Tara holds a Master's degree in Interaction Design from California College of the Arts, along with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut. Tara also holds a Diploam and certificates from the Lawrence School, Lovedale.

Tara has an extensive professional background, having worked at Aura as both Senior Product Designer and Product Designer, as well as serving as the Design Instructor at Urban School of San Francisco. Other companies where Tara has worked include Root Division, Wow Labz, and ZS Associates. Her mission is to bridge the economic divide by designing systems that provide affordable, credit-building loans to America’s 66 million unbanked and underbanked consumers.
