Marc Hollander is a well-known figure in the world of music. He is a Belgian musician, composer, producer, and record label owner, best known as the founder of the legendary avant-garde rock band Aksak Maboul. Hollander started his musical journey in the late 1970s, experimenting with various musical styles - from rock to jazz to electronic music. He is credited with pioneering the use of electronic instruments in popular music in Belgium. In addition to his work with Aksak Maboul, Hollander has also collaborated with several other musicians and artists, including Fred Frith, Chris Cutler, and John Zorn. He has also been involved in the production of many musical releases, both as a producer and a sound engineer. Hollander is also the owner of the record label Crammed Discs, which has released music from a wide range of artists, including Zap Mama, Konono No.1, and Juana Molina. He continues to be an active musician and producer to this day, working on new projects and collaborations.
