Jingyan Qin is a highly accomplished professional with a broad design background. As an Associate Professor in Interaction Design at University of Science and Technology Beijing, Qin has played an important role in shaping the field. She has also served as a Senior Fellow at the International Conference on Interaction Design, organized by Tsinghua, PolyU & CMU, and collaborated with the Association of Digital Cultural Heritage, China Association for Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs P.R.China, among other organizations. Qin has studied at prestigious institutions, earning a Doctorate and Ph.D. in Information Design at Tsinghua University, a Master's in Industrial Design at Beijing Institute of Technology, and a BFA in Industrial Design at Beijing Institute of Technology.

Qin is a versatile designer, with experience in web design, gameplay design, animation, art, corporate identity, interface design, and more. She has demonstrated her creativity and skill through a variety of roles, such as Webpage Interface Designer at AsiainOne and Cityfamily, Interaction Designer at Ogilvy & Mather, and Communication Designer at Acer Beijing Office. Prior to her academic career, Qin also worked as a Channel Packaging designer at Beijing TV Station.
