Kim Chambers
Kim Chambers
Kim Chambers is a top marathon open water swimmer, a UC Berkeley alumna, and a philanthropist from New Zealand. She completed the Oceans Seven swimming challenge, an achievement that puts her among the best in the world, swimming across seven of the most challenging stretches of water globally, fighting with deadly jellyfish, sharks, strong currents, and cold water. Beyond athletics, these events are personal transformational experiences of self-discovery, teaching aspiring athletes to learn and live life to its fullest while pushing boundaries. Kim believes that it is never too late to discover one's purpose and live the best version of oneself. To date, Kim has raised over $1.7 million for charity. In March 2019, Kim was officially inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, becoming the first woman from New Zealand to achieve this honor, and only the third Kiwi to do so. Kim is a feminist who loves to encourage others to face their fears and push through their own barriers. She excels best when engaging with audiences of all sizes, planting the seed of possibility in the minds of children and adults alike.
