Alison Abreu-Garcia
Alison Abreu-Garcia is a well-experienced Director of Engineering currently working at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Vassar College, she has held several positions in the tech industry. Before joining the ACLU, Abreu-Garcia worked as a Senior Manager of Digital Technologies at Whitney Museum of American Art, a Senior Developer at Linked by Air, and as a Part-time Lecturer at Parsons School for Design.
At the ACLU, Abreu-Garcia started as a Tech Lead and worked her way up to being a Principal Tech Lead and now the Director of Engineering. Her skills in web development, digital technologies, and computer science make her an asset to any organization she works with.
Abreu-Garcia's interests lie in promoting technology for social justice and providing equitable access to digital resources. Her work in the ACLU has primarily focused on amplifying civil rights and liberties through the development of digital technologies.
