Gage Newman is a skilled software engineer with a diverse range of professional experiences, from working in landscaping and construction to starting his own media company. After completing a BA in Psychology and Environmental Studies at Swarthmore College and further studies in Environmental Science at the University of Cape Town, he went on to work as an Intern at YRG sustainability, an Application Support Intern at EnerNOC, and an assistant carpenter at Boardwalk Builders. He then transitioned into the tech industry, working as a Senior Teaching Assistant at App Academy and teaching Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, React, and Redux, before becoming a Software Engineer and later a Senior Software Engineer at Honor, where he uses his expertise in Python, React, MySQL, AWS SQS, Thrift, and more to build better care experiences for families, caregivers, and local agency owners.
