David Cline is an experienced corporate attorney and Partner at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, where he focuses on providing general corporate representation to emerging growth companies. David's expertise includes working with companies and investment funds during all stages of their lifecycle, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, formation of special purpose vehicles, and recapitalizations and reorganizations. David has extensive experience advising private fund sponsors, family offices, and other investment managers on fund formation, strategic transactions, deployment of capital, and implementation of traditional or unique investment strategies. David also advises clients on the structure and operation of entities that serve as general partners and managers to their funds. David obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science with a German minor from Loyola Marymount University and his Juris Doctor with the Entrepreneurial Law Certificate from the University of Colorado School of Law. Prior to joining Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, David was a Supervising Attorney at the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic at the University of Colorado Law School and an Attorney at Modus Law, Ltd. He has also mentored at Galvanize Inc and served on the Board of Directors at Spark Boulder.
