Waqas Khalid is an accomplished researcher, project manager, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of MEMS/NEMS devices. He earned his PhD, MS, and BS in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University, where he also worked as a research engineer. After graduating, he went on to work at various organizations in both the public and private sector, such as NASA Ames Research Center, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and UC Berkeley College of Engineering, where he currently serves as a Project Manager-Scientist.

During his career, Khalid has been involved in several startups, including Jadoo Technologies, where he worked as CEO, and Plasmotica LLC, where he was a co-owner and CTO. He has also undertaken research projects at leading academic institutions, such as Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia.

As a scientist, Khalid specializes in the integration of nanomechanical systems and developing novel sensors for various industries. His experience in nanotechnology has led him to work on numerous projects that center on microfabrication, microfluidics, and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS). Khalid's research has been published in several academic journals, and he has been invited to speak at conferences worldwide.
