Chandu Thota is a seasoned entrepreneur and engineer with a diverse professional background spanning Consumer, Enterprise, and Web Services sectors. Currently serving as the Vice President/General Manager in Google Cloud, he brings extensive leadership experience gained from leading engineering and product endeavors in prominent tech companies like Google and Microsoft.

Prior to his role at Google Cloud, Chandu Thota was instrumental in driving innovation and growth as the Founder, CTO, and VP of Product Development at The Dealmap, which was successfully acquired by Google in 2011. His significant contributions extend to his tenure as a Software Development Lead at Microsoft, where he played a pivotal role in the development of Microsoft Local Search and Mapping product, Virtual Earth, now known as Bing Maps.

Throughout his illustrious career, Chandu Thota has exhibited a flair for innovation and technology advancement, evident through the numerous patents he has filed and been awarded, particularly in web and mapping technology domains. Furthermore, he has shared his expertise and insights as a published author of technical books, establishing himself as a thought leader in the industry.
