Scott McCarty

Scott McCarty is a technical product manager at Red Hat, overseeing container subsystem team responsible for key capabilities in OpenShift Container Platform and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

His focus areas include container runtimes, tools, and images, working closely with engineering teams to enhance strategic container features based on personal experience, customer, and partner feedback.

Apart from his current role, Scott has a diverse background having worked in social media startups, e-commerce, and government research technology, acquiring a unique perspective on open source software development, delivery, and maintenance.

Scott has studied Anthropology and Computer Science at The University of Akron.
