Upasana Taku is a successful Indian fintech entrepreneur who co-founded Zaakpay and MobiKwik. She studied B Tech in Industrial Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, India, followed by earning an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She began her professional career as a Research Assistant at Stanford Linear Accelerator before moving on to be a Business Analyst, Product Manager at HSBC, and then Senior Product Manager at PayPal.

Taku eventually co-founded MobiKwik in 2009, which quickly became a household name in India, with millions of users and merchants trusting the MobiKwik App for Payments and Fintech products. She stayed with the company as COO until 2020, building a strong foundation for a billion Indians in the fintech and payments space.
