Deann Sonoda is a seasoned communications professional with vast experience in the corporate world. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Japanese Language from Santa Clara University. Her career spans over a decade and a half, during which she has served in various capacities of high-level communications roles in reputable companies.

Deann is currently the Communications Director at Zinier Inc, where she is responsible for enhancing the company's brand image and leading the development and implementation of communication strategies. Previously, she was the Global Communications Director at Rocketspace, responsible for crafting and executing all internal and external communications strategies.

In addition to her full-time roles, Deann has also worked with startups, offering mentorship as a former mentor at Alchemist Accelerator and as a communications advisor at Terra Food & Ag Accelerator. Prior to this, she was an independent communications director with her consultancy company, Deann Sonoda Communications Consultant.

Deann began her career as an Assistant Account Executive at HPR Communications, climbing the ranks to hold positions such as Communications Manager at AT&T Interactive, Associate Director of Corporate Communications at AT&T, and Public Relations Lead at YP.
