Fawaz Elmalki is a highly respected offshore lawyer with extensive corporate law and finance experience. He co-founded Venture One Legal, a boutique law firm in the Cayman Islands, where he acts as Counsel and also works as Counsel at Support Legal leading the investment funds practice.

Specializing in investment funds, Fawaz represents sponsors and funds in forming and advising on venture capital, private equity, real estate, and hedge funds. In addition, he advises institutional investors in such funds. Fawaz has previously worked as a Partner and Head of Office at Conyers Dill & Pearman, where he advised on matters related to the laws of the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda.

Fawaz's academic background includes studying LLB Common Law at McGill University and LLB Civil Law at the Université de Montréal. He has been recognized by Chambers Global, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal (Private Funds), and MENA Fund Manager as a leading offshore lawyer.

In addition to his legal work, Fawaz has been a member of Iliad Partners' Global Advisory Council. He has also worked as Legal Counsel at PSP Investments and as an Associate at Clifford Chance and Heenan Blaikie LLP.
