Fatima-Zohra Hakam is a prominent entrepreneur and the founder of ZORA, a company dedicated to creating a sustainable and ethical chocolate brand. Born and raised in Rabat, Morocco, she developed a strong determination to impact her community and challenge societal expectations for women. Her educational journey took her to Boston, Massachusetts, where she earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in marketing and leadership from Bentley University.1

After completing her MBA, she worked with organizations like The Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute, which deepened her understanding of the cocoa industry, especially the challenges faced by West African farmers. Recognizing the stigma surrounding West African cocoa, Hakam founded ZORA to produce premium specialty chocolate that honors the farmers and promotes sustainable practices.12

ZORA is notable for its commitment to ethical sourcing and social responsibility. The company offers organic and vegan dark chocolate bars while directly partnering with cocoa growers. A significant aspect of ZORA's mission is its Women's Economic Empowerment program, which supports girls' education in rural Ghana by funding one day of school for every chocolate bar sold.12
