Farizan Razie

Farizan H Razie is a dynamic professional with a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in finance, management information systems, and marketing. He currently excels in his role at the Immigrant Employment Council of BC, where his focus is on aiding companies in BC to recruit and retain skilled immigrants.

Farizan's passion for social innovation led him to create PowerHack, a platform that empowers refugees and immigrants to demonstrate their abilities to potential employers through problem-solving events. This initiative aims to reduce the reliance on unpaid work for 'Canadian Experience' and instead provides a supportive environment for showcasing talents within a Canadian context.

In addition to PowerHack, Farizan contributed significantly to establishing the SFU branch of the Vancouver Social Value Fund (VSVF), a student-led impact investment fund supporting local social ventures. His dedication to community service extends further as he holds a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation and is pursuing a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
