Farhad Mohit
Farhad Mohit is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for creating innovative solutions. He is the founder and full-time volunteer at Good Party, a platform dedicated to promoting free and fair elections through free software. With a strong belief in supporting indie candidates, Farhad aims to disrupt the traditional political landscape dominated by career politicians.
Farhad's most notable achievement includes founding Flipagram, known today as TikTok, which quickly gained popularity with over 300 million downloads in under three years. This groundbreaking app revolutionized short-form user music videos and secured worldwide rights from major music labels, setting the stage for the success of apps like TikTok.
Prior to Flipagram, Farhad founded several successful ventures, including BizRate.com, a pioneering customer ratings site that contributed significantly to the mainstream adoption of e-commerce. He also led Shopzilla, a leading shopping search engine, through substantial growth and profitability, culminating in a significant acquisition in 2005.
Farhad's diverse entrepreneurial journey also includes ventures like DotSpots, Gripe, and Cheers, demonstrating his resilience and adaptability in the face of changing market dynamics. Despite some pivots, his ventures showcase his innovative spirit and commitment to addressing various societal needs.
