Falk Fish is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in Medical Rapid In Vitro Diagnostic Devices. He has been instrumental as a Co-Founder and served on the founding teams of globally active companies. With more than 40 years of expertise in life sciences within academic and industrial settings, Falk employs both intuitive and systematic inventive processes with a focus on simplifying complex reactions and manufacturing procedures.
As a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and chief scientist, Falk has directed Research and Development in an integrated diagnostic development and manufacturing company. The products developed under his leadership have received approvals from prestigious international regulatory bodies such as ISO, CE, USDA, and US FDA. Known for his open-door management style, Falk cultivates a friendly and cooperative work environment by resolving conflicts with humor.
Falk's professional journey includes involvement with renowned companies and institutions like Orgenics LTD, Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc., Alere, Inc., BioGal, Institut Pasteur, and various universities including Tel Aviv University, Hebrew University, and Technion. Throughout his career, Falk has been a driving force behind the innovation and technological design of manufacturing processes for proprietary products, along with designing initial manufacturing equipment.
His contributions have led to the development of products with commercial names such as ImmunoComb, Determine, and ClearView, demonstrating his expertise in colorimetric analytical methods for detecting various substances, electrochemical biosensor design for blood glucose monitoring, and photometric coagulation tests.
Aside from his technical accomplishments, Falk has also served as a board member for multiple companies, offering consultancy to entrepreneurial ventures. He has actively participated in cross-continental and cross-cultural collaborations involving Research and Development, technology transfer, and acquisition.
Education-wise, Falk Fish holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology from Tel Aviv University. His academic pursuits also include Postdoctoral Studies in Autoimmunity at UT Southwestern Medical Center and being a British Council Scholar in Transplantation Immunology at G.D. Searle & Co. Research Labs.
Furthermore, Falk has been associated with various organizations in advisory, consultancy, and leadership capacities, including roles at Sight Diagnostics, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Unipath, and Episight Ltd. Prior to his current endeavors, Falk has held positions like Managing Director & Founder at Orgenics Biosensors Ltd., R&D Consultant at Inverness Medical Ltd., and CTO at Orgenics / Alere Connected Health LTD.
