Lyon has won numerous awards for his work as a conflict photographer and has held leadership positions at major media corporations such as The Associated Press and Reuters. He is currently the Head of Advocacy and Education for the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) at Adobe, where he works to combat disinformation by developing secure metadata that shows the provenance of images and other file types. Lyon has studied at Harvard University and Columbia University and has worked for notable organizations such as World Press Photo Foundation and Agencia EFE.
