Laura Mendoza is a highly experienced university lecturer of English with over 15 years of experience in three countries. She is proficient in both English and Spanish and has a Master's degree in Linguistics and TESOL. She specializes in academic and professional communication needs for learners, both written and spoken. Mendoza was instrumental in establishing a project called "Writing Clinic" at Aalto University to help students with their academic writing needs. She is passionate about promoting learning-focused teaching methods and developing blended and online courses to support out-of-classroom learning. Mendoza is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Helsinki. In addition to her teaching experience, she has also worked in supervisory and administrative roles in higher education and instructional design. Her expertise lies in leading teams of academic experts, curriculum development, and learner autonomy-based teaching.
