Lukas Yonis Yonis Abubeker is an accomplished American graphic designer based in Barcelona, Spain. With a passion for design and a focus on connection, understanding, and learning, Lukas has honed his skills and expertise throughout his education and professional career.

Lukas holds an impressive educational background, having studied a range of art and design disciplines. He began his academic journey at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, where he studied abroad, specializing in painting and drawing. He then pursued a Master's degree in Graphic Design at ELISAVA in Barcelona, further refining his skills and knowledge in the field. Prior to that, Lukas earned his BFA with Honors in Graphic Design from Columbia College Chicago and completed an Associate's Degree in Arts and Science at Illinois Central College.

With a diverse portfolio of professional experiences, Lukas has worked with renowned design agencies and studios. He was a graphic designer at Mucho, a creative studio known for its innovative and strategic design solutions. Lukas also served as a senior graphic designer at Deutsch LA, where he played a vital role in developing creative campaigns for high-profile clients. Additionally, he worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, Studio Yonis, Forum Studio, and even interned at Sonnenzimmer, gaining valuable insights and exposure to various design practices and approaches.

Currently, Lukas is the designer at Yonis, his own design practice. Leveraging his vast experience and skills, Lukas offers a range of design services, specializing in creating visually captivating and impactful designs that foster meaningful connections. He approaches each project with a deep understanding of the client's brand and values, translating them into visually compelling and effective design solutions.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Lukas is an American living in Barcelona, enjoying the vibrant culture and sunny weather that the city offers. He is passionate about using design as a tool for connection, understanding, and learning, constantly exploring new creative avenues and seeking inspiration from his surroundings.
