Overall project leader for QEMU, the world's premier systems emulator and virtualizer.  The QEMU project has roughly 250 unique annual contributors from over 50 companies.  QEMU powers both Xen and KVM and is widely deployed in most Cloud environments including Amazon EC2, IBM Smart Cloud Enterprise, the Rackspace Cloud, and many more.

Overall community development lead for IBM's Open Virtualization team consisting of 30+ engineers in the Linux Technology Center.Led the team to be the top contributor (behind Red Hat) to both QEMU and oVirt projects along with significant contributors to libvirt and KVM.Added many key features to KVM/QEMU along with team including virtio-blk-dataplane, the fastest paravirtual disk implementation of any hypervisor achieving over 1 million IOPs from a single guest, live migration support, live disk migration, a GTK UI, the Linux kernel virtio-pci implementation and all virtio implementations in QEMU, and much more.Worked with executive team to define IBM's Open Virtualization strategy, plan and orchestrate community focused development work in support of multiple products embedding KVM and internal teams consuming KVM including IBM's public cloud offering and internal desktop project.Worked as a virtual on-site partner with Red Hat coordinating development with the Red Hat leadership team to help promote and improve KVM.

Open Virtualization Development Lead

Participated in Extreme Blue internship program twice as a Freshman and remained as a part time intern (20 hours a week) for full time at university.Worked on Samba modularity speaking multiple times at the SNIA CIFS conference.Top IBM contributor to Xen project adding key features such as the paravirtual framebuffer, paravirtual keyboard/mouse, embedded VNC server, paravirtual console daemon, and XML-RPC support in Xend.

Intern

Worked as a subcontractor for Lockheed Martin on the US Navy's AEGIS program as a part time (20 hours a week) intern during High School.Lead a small team on the Roadster project providing an automated diagnosis system written using Motif and C++.
