Sarah Hodges is a well-known entrepreneur and operator who has spent over a decade in high-growth consumer and enterprise companies. She is a Partner at Pillar, a Boston-based early-stage venture capital fund that invests in machine intelligence, consumer, enterprise SaaS, and frontier technology. Prior to her current role, Sarah was a member of the executive team at Pluralsight, where she led the company's people function. She was also a member of the executive team at Smarterer, which was later acquired by Pluralsight.
Sarah's previous roles included being the Co-Founder of the leadership development company Intelligent.ly, advisor to Flybridge Capital, and Innovation Consultant at Luminary Labs. In addition to her work, Sarah has served as a board member at BUILD and the New England Venture Capital Association. She is a graduate of Babson College, where she completed her Master of Business Administration degree, and Scripps College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science.
Throughout her career, Sarah has gained expertise in operations, marketing, client services, and leadership development. Her experience in early-stage startups, including Carbonite and RunKeeper, has given her significant insight into the challenges that come with growing a business from the ground up. Sarah is passionate about investing in frontier technology, and her current role at Pillar allows her to support the next generation of startups.
