Worked as an Medication Therapy Management (MTM) pharmacist for PhaRxSight which was recently purchased by Amerisource Bergen and formed into Pharmacy Health Solutions. This company contracts with independent and small chain pharmacies to provide Medication Therapy Management via the Mirixa, Outcomes, and Catamaran systems. While working here, I provided remote telephonic Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMR) which included Drug Utilization Review (DUR), Drug Therapy Problem (DTP) review that identifies drug interactions, gaps in care, non-adherence, high-risk medications and cost-saving opportunities. I also administered Targeted Intervention Programs (TIPs) to encourage compliance and to check for medication problems in patients.

I have worked for the past several years at this unique independent pharmacy. This pharmacy, which is situated on the outside corner of a nursing home, serves as a full service in-patient nursing home pharmacy, while also operating a very busy out-patient business as well.  In addition to this, we service and deliver medications to several assisted living centers throughout Harford and Cecil Counties.  This has given me the opportunity to care for a wide assortment of patients in various care environments.  Besides my normal duties as a pharmacist, I also have served as our main compounding pharmacist and have functioned as our de-facto IT guy by maintaining and upgrading our computer network, setting up email and webpage and working to provide a web presence for our company.
