Kendra Chiu is an accomplished sociologist and nonprofit professional with a wealth of experience in grant development, special projects, and teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Saint John's University and St. John's University, respectively. Her career has been defined by her passion for improving health outcomes and building healthy communities through innovative programming and strategic fundraising. Ms. Chiu currently serves as Senior Director, Grants and Communications at Outreach: Building Healthy Lives, where she oversees grant writing and reporting and manages the organization's communications strategy. She has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at St. John's University, teaching undergraduate courses in sociology, and previously held the role of Director, Grant Development and Special Projects at Outreach. In that capacity, she was responsible for securing millions of dollars in funding for the organization's various initiatives. Prior to that, Ms. Chiu served as a Graduate/Teaching Assistant at St. John's University, where she provided academic and research support to faculty and students in the sociology department.
