Diarmuid Scully is a well-rounded individual whose background is marked by a variety of impressive experiences. He pursued higher education at the University of Limerick, obtaining a Bachelor of Business Studies degree focused on Marketing and Japanese Studies. He went on to earn his Master of Arts in Political Science and Government with 1st Class Honours, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Dynasties and Personal Political Machines, which he was awarded in 2018.

Throughout his education, Scully was actively involved in several organizations, including the University of Limerick Students' Union, where he served as President. He also gained work experience as a Technical Support Supervisor at Sykes Enterprises Inc. Ireland and an Executive Researcher at BDO Simpson Xavier.

Scully's passion for politics led to his role as City Councillor at Limerick City Council. Subsequently, he became a PhD Teaching Fellow and Candidate PhD Researcher at the University of Limerick, where he currently serves as a Teaching Assistant. His range of professional and academic experience makes him an asset to any team looking for a well-rounded individual.
