Carol Kivler is a renowned mental health speaker, author, and thought leader who is deeply passionate about advocating for mental health. She is a survivor of four bouts of treatment-resistant depression and has bravely fought her way to a sustained and full recovery. Her story is a testament to the courage and faith that people require when battling this debilitating illness. Having authored four books, Carol is a trusted advisor to international business executives and a fierce advocate for those suffering from mental illnesses. She works tirelessly to overcome the stigma and misrepresentations surrounding mental health issues through her organization, Courageous Recovery, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3. Her presentations and workshops challenge common myths surrounding mental illness and inspire participants to look beyond the stigma associated with these diagnoses.
Carol is a graduate of Fordham University, where she studied MS in Human Resource Education, and The College of New Jersey, where she obtained a BS in Business Education. She has also formerly worked as an adjunct professor/corporate trainer at Mercer County Community College and the founder, executive coach, and corporate trainer at Kivler Communications.
Carol's audiences range from psychiatrists, psychologists, and physicians to nurses, counselors, medical students, and mental health organizations. She has worked with pharmaceutical companies, corporations, professional associations, nonprofit foundations, educational institutions, government agencies, and HR professionals, among others.
