Tsegazeab Hailu

Tsegazeab Hailu is an experienced professional with a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Land Resource Management, and Environmental Protection.

He holds a Master of Science degree from Dilla University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Mekelle University.

With over 10 years of experience, Tsegazeab has worked in various areas including Watershed management, Soil & Water Conservation, Forestry, Participatory Forest Management, livelihood & Food Security, Early warning response, and humanitarian response coordination.

He is proficient in using GIS applications, Satellite imagery, Aerial photographs, and GPS for tasks like watershed management & development planning, land use land cover change analysis, spatial analysis, and Suitability mapping.

Throughout his career, Tsegazeab has been dedicated to serving communities in Ethiopia across different Regional states like Afar, Oromia, SNNP, and Amhara. He has been involved in both government and NGO development and humanitarian projects.

His skill set includes Leadership, project management, coordination, conflict resolution, and time management.

Currently, Tsegazeab works as a Senior Climate Resilience Programme Officer at Norwegian Church Aid / Kirkens Nødhjelp.
