John Lai is a seasoned industrial designer and design thinking expert with an impressive track record of creating innovative products that make a difference. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from San Jose State University and has worked with reputable brands, including United Technologies, Samsung, Eli Lilly, and Intel. John is the Founder and Principal Designer of johnlaidesign, through which he has helped companies discover relevant opportunities, develop design strategies, and bring products to market.

With extensive experience in creative problem-solving and design thinking, John has worked with many talented teams and organizations to create impactful innovations. He leverages his expertise in design to help companies implement design projects from research to development, establish internal innovation capabilities and processes, and learn to innovate consistently. Before starting his design firm, John worked at IDEO, Matrix Product Design, and MO Studio in various roles. He has also lectured at UCI Applied Innovation and CCAC as an adjunct professor.
