Katie Teed is an accomplished marketing and communication professional with over 18 years of experience in tourism and education. She has held senior management positions at the University of British Columbia (UBC), UBC Botanical Garden, and various advertising agencies. Her work has focused on developing creative solutions to stretch limited budgets and staffing resources.

Teed is the Chair of the Gardens British Columbia Marketing Committee and serves on the Board of Directors. She is also the Acting Chair of the Vanpass Board of Directors, a collective marketing group of 21 Metro Vancouver attractions. Teed is an active member of the Association of Administrative & Professional Staff at UBC (AAPS) Communications Committee.

Teed has a diverse educational background. She has studied at the RCS Netherwood and completed a Publishing Diploma at Langara College. She also earned a Commerce degree majoring in Marketing Informatics from Dalhousie University.

In addition to her professional work, Teed has served on several committees related to her interests in gardening and tourism. She was a member of the working group that developed the Gardens Canada branding and website with federal funding. She also co-administrated and co-chaired the North East Burnaby Community Garden and served on the Hanson International Academy Tourism and Travel Program Advisory Committee.
