Laurie Jones Neighbors is an accomplished and experienced professional who has dedicated her career to partnering with organizations to address structural inequities and systemic oppression. With an MA in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, and an MA in English from Texas Tech University, Neighbors is well-equipped to provide her clients with transformational change. Before founding Cities & People Advisors, Neighbors served as the Director of Education and Coalition Building at Urban Habitat and as a Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives. She has also held a variety of advisory board and teaching positions, including at San Francisco State University and the University of Oregon. Neighbors is a former member of the Sunshine Ordinance Task Force at the City and County of San Francisco, and she has also served on the advisory board of Green Foothills and the Board of Directors of TransForm.
