David Schairer is an accomplished technologist and product leader with an extensive background in building and managing teams to create cutting-edge technologies. He has played key roles in various startups, including Magneto Inc., Trapit, and Kuato Studios, as well as large corporations like Google and XO Communications.

He is a polymath with a passion for solving complex problems with a combination of best practices and unconventional methods. David has a successful history of mentoring and coaching smart individuals into becoming productive software engineers and architects. His areas of expertise include machine learning, big data, complex cloud platforms, and natural language processing, among others.

David started his career at Concentric Research Corporation as a Sysadmin/programmer before rising through the ranks to become the CTO of Concentric Network Corporation. At Concentric, David architected and managed the teams and products that led to a successful IPO and eventual acquisition by Nextlink to form XO Communications.

He studied B.A., Latin, Greek, Classical Archaeology at the University of Michigan. David's passion for technology and product design has led him to create successful products and teams throughout his career. He is now a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Lead & Manager at Nest/Assistant SmartHome at Google, Inc.
