Organized daily, online stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning & reviews, and coordinated with others to gather information needed. I also implemented Firebase Databases to provide temporary CMS data for mockup/development and initial MVP release while middleware was being developed.

I have filled many roles for this startup, as needed in their development team.  I worked directly with their CTO to help with design and implementation of new system features, as well as optimizing existing system bottlenecks (both data bottlenecks and performance bottlenecks.Some examples:- I have worked to redesign the way the store activity logs, recommending a change from MySQL to MongoDB.- I improved the performance of their MySQL calls by adding in-memory and memcached query caching abstraction layer in their database stack.- I redesigned and implemented their Statistics & Charts system, adding caching and off-line generation of their charts, prioritizing the order of the chart generation based on usage and generation runtime length.- When they had their iOS and Android apps initially developed by an outsourced firm, for both platforms, I finished the apps up, polished their UI's, readied them for release in their respective app stores.  Additionally, I redesigned their mobile API adding support for sessions, data security and branded versions of the apps...and implemented the API changes on the server (PHP5) and the iOS and Android apps, and  pushed the apps to the AppStore (iOS) and Google Play (Android) markets.- Helped with their Social Platform integrations; facebook, twitter, etc.

Technical Consultant - System Architect & Mobile Developer

I was brought in here to develop a mobile product plan/roadmap and then implement that plan.  I exhaustively researched all available cross-platform solutions (ie: PhoneGap, Appcellerator, Adobe Flex), and coded some prototype examples, including a full iPad PhoneGap implementation of their existing web-based Study Environment, and a native prototype app for both iOS and Android.  After the roadmap, I focused on the graphic design of the app, and coded the mobile server API backend (PHP5), before starting the actual coding of the actual iOS app (native Objective-C).  The native iOS app had advanced features, such as full offline capabilities, content data caching/preloading,device synchronization and state sharing, as well as full multi-language (English/Chinese/Hebrew/Greek) rendering via CoreText and a custom XML parser.Additionally, the app has extensive social features (standard Facebook/Twitter sharing, as well as Facebook OpenGraph Activity posting.  This was build upon our own implementation of "friends" and "badges", as well as location-based content "check-in" gamification.This was all implemented on the backend using PHP5 and Kohana Framework, talking to multiple MySQL and MongoDB databases, (MongoDB used for the Activity feeds and API logs).The app was successfully coded and beta tested with an online team of 100+ selected users (using an Apple Enterprise Developer account), then pushed, accepted and released in the Apple AppStore.
