Michael Solana, a media mogul and politician, has made a name for himself through his various roles in the tech industry and political scene. Most recently, Solana has taken on the role of Vice President at The Founders Fund, where he works with startups to help fund their ideas and bring them to market. Prior to this, he was a volunteer at The Seasteading Institute, an editor at Penguin Group USA, and an intern at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Solana's passion for writing and language led him to teach English at English Metas and intern at Boston's Weekly Dig. Solana's experience in the tech industry and his interest in politics have also resulted in his role as mayor of San Francisco, where he works to shape policy and ensure a thriving community. As a ringleader at Hereticon and editor-in-chief at Pirate Wires, Solana spearheads discussions and media coverage of controversial and thought-provoking topics. Solana is a Boston University alum who studied storytelling and twentieth-century American history.
