Mario Alvarez-Jimenez
Mario Alvarez-Jimenez is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, with extensive expertise in mental health research. He has worked in multiple research projects around the world, focusing on developing and evaluating innovative interventions for young people with mental health problems. Mario has a Ph.D. in psychological medicine, a master's degree in public health, and a bachelor's degree in psychology.
Throughout his career, Mario has published over 100 scientific papers, receiving numerous awards for his research, such as the prestigious European Alliance for Innovation Award. In addition, he lectures and supervises students at the University of Melbourne, sharing his knowledge and expertise in the field of mental health.
Mario's research interests include early intervention, mobile health, digital mental health, cognitive-behavioral therapy, social cognition, psychotic disorders, and youth mental health. He is committed to improving the lives of young people with mental health problems and reducing the societal burden of mental illnesses.
