Robyn Mwila

Robyn Mwila is a passionate education specialist from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. With a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Educational Studies from the Washington University in St. Louis, Robyn has extensive experience in education and customer service.

As a former National Sales Coordinator and Guest Service Agent at Drury Hotels, School Operations Manager at Teach For America, and Enrollment Services Coordinator - Advisor - International Student Affairs at UMKC, Robyn has gained skills in communication, problem-solving, operations, customer service, and people skills.

Currently, Robyn is in her 5th year as an Intervention Specialist and 1st year as the Senior Seminar Instructor at the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Her commitment to education excellence includes removing barriers that hinder students from accessing adequate learning tools and support. Robyn has first-hand knowledge of the difficulties students face when it comes to receiving a quality education and understands that equitable education is crucial. She takes a universal design for learning approach to create supports that allow every student to access the general education curriculum.

Robyn believes cultivating positive relationships is key to reaching our children. She relies on her extensive customer service experience and school counseling background to continuously promote meaningful rapport and beneficial interactions both in and outside of the classroom. This allows her to get to know her students so that she can assist them in finding those tools to reach the goals set by the state while most importantly helping them to realize (and achieve) their own self-purpose and dreams.
