Tsvi Achler is a highly accomplished neurologist, neurophysiologist, and computer scientist with an unyielding passion for understanding the brain. Mr. Achler's educational and professional experience revolves around one overarching goal - to determine how the brain processes information and how recognition can lead to various cognitive processes. To achieve his vision, Mr. Achler has been involved in a diverse range of projects that have furthered our understanding of the brain. He obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering Computer Science followed by a degree in EECS, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both from the University of California, Berkeley. He then went on to study MD/PhD, Computational Neuroscience at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Throughout his career, Mr. Achler's expertise in computation, neuroscience, neurophysiology, and cognitive psychology has led to groundbreaking advancements in brain research. With extensive experience in brain experiments, from neuron electrophysiology recording in sea slugs to complex human response times in controlled recognition tasks, he gained trenchant insights into the most viable methods for creating the third generation of AI. These brain-like algorithms aim to mimic neural and cognitive phenomena, producing outstanding performance with a minimal amount of hacking, engineering or parameter fitting.

Mr. Achler founded Optimizing Mind to pursue his goal of creating AI algorithms that mimic the functions of the human brain using his diverse set of skills in computer science, neuroscience, and cognitive psychology. He has also worked with a wide range of organizations including Consultant Technologies, IBM, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on various brain-related projects.
