Business development, administrative and financial management for MTW, advancing complex applied research through collaborative engagement of private and public enterprise.  Facility included the Flexible Display Center (FDC). o	Conceived, hosted, co-produced and promoted Medical – Electronics Convergence symposium, with 60+ industry participants in year one, 90+ in year two.
o	Projects included:  Project Management of NIH sponsored consortium – product development for very high throughput minimally-invasive radiation biodosimetry cartridge.  Columbia University led consortium.

Director & Faculty Associate

Administrative and financial executive for Institute devoted to sustainable development.  Oversaw 16 member Centers and Institutes financial and administrative activities, with combined expenditures in excess of $100 M, and 800+ scholars, scientists and support staff. Developed financial strategies with EI Director and presented to senior officers of the University.  Directed and managed core financial ($20 M), human resources, grant, information technology, and administrative activities and planning.  Managed staff of 12.  Of note:
o	Funding Initiatives:  Directed financial presentations. EI secured seven-figure gift in 2003, five-year $15M gift in 2004, five-year $20M gift in 2005.  Provided guidance to senior management and research leadership with financial planning expertise.
o	Growth Management:  Administered additional University support, $20M over five years, to recruit new Earth Institute (EI) Director from Harvard.  Guided EI central administration from 12 to 34-person office, delivering positive fund balances throughout tenure.
o	Organizational Development:  Ten year strategic plan developed and presented to University President.  Directed unit assessment and viability guidance, including efficiencies through centralized administrative functions.  Ensured sustainable enterprise development, downsizing under-performing units as appropriate.
o	New Program Development:  Coordinated financial management and planning for Masters in Public Administration, Environmental Science and Policy – profitable in first year ($1.6M revenues, 24% contribution).  Second year contribution increased to 27% - long term programmatic plans to financially support interdisciplinary PhD in Sustainable Development.  Earth Institute Fellows program launched in Fall ’03 (12 Post Docs per year), 12% under budget ($890k program), grew to 24 Fellows ($1.6M).

o	HMC - Improved response of on-site medical consulting sales teams by building scalable flexible web version of static data analyzer, increasing capture rate by 24% and reducing time to capture by over 20%.
o	Hugo Boss - Created and implemented media center hardware and software for 5th Avenue flagship store.
o	The Orvis Company - Reduced Battenkill brand product development cycle to 16-20 weeks from 8 months and dramatically improved gross margins (over 16%).
