Vice President Business Transformation

Driving the development and execution of Pfizer’s market access transformation platform, exploring  innovative solutions to enable Pfizer to compete effectively in a value based market. This includes collaborating with external partners to develop new approaches to value based contracts, pricing and affordability strategies, digital solutions to support patient experience and outcomes, and market-based population health solutions. Actively managing a portfolio of solutions that seek to ensure access for appropriate patients where value can be defined, measured, and reimbursed.

Vice President Market Access Strategy and Innovation

Led team responsible for strategy development, opportunity assessment, and business development evaluation for Pfizer’s $30B Innovative Health portfolio (Oncology, Vaccines, Rare Disease, Inflammation & Immunology, Internal Medicine, and Consumer Health). Activated a “Patient’s First Strategy” by developing bold actions that challenge the business to prioritize patient value in business activities and investments. Managed business critical assessments including: China opportunity assessment, impact of new dosing recommendations for Vaccines, Immuno-Oncology strategy, and launch strategy and preparation for Rare Disease portfolio. Led Digital Council responsible for setting digital priorities, identifying core capabilities to scale across the business, and recommendation for investment in emerging capabilities.

Vice President Strategy and New Business Evaluation, Pfizer Innovative Health

Led team responsible for accelerating and making innovation accessible across the $50B+ global Pfizer enterprise. Drove development of corporate digital strategy. Identified opportunities to leverage digital technologies such as social and mobile to increase interactive connectivity and personalization of information to customers. Led the development and global roll out of an organization-wide innovation capability. Drove innovation culture across the organization, including a reward and recognition system, a virtual collaboration platform, an annual innovation conference, and a knowledge network to share learnings and best practices. Developed a partnership model with accelerators/incubators and VC funds to connect new business ventures to internal business needs, and develop a network to mentor entrepreneurs. Developed an Open Innovation capability to leverage external expertise and provide solutions to internal problems. Demonstrated the ability to do so more quickly and at a lower cost than traditional methods. Frequent speaking engagements at industry forums around innovation, including The Economist Innovation Forum, Israel Innovation Conference, CornellTech guest lecturer, mHealth, CES Digital Summit, ePharma, and Health 2.0.
