Waleed Abed is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in real estate investments, asset management, and strategic planning.
Waleed currently serves as the Vice President of Real Estate at GIC, where he is responsible for overseeing the U.S. industrial/logistics strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management.
In addition to his industrial/logistics expertise, Waleed has managed investments across various asset classes such as office and multifamily properties.
His skill set includes underwriting and asset management of both debt and equity real estate investments, contract and joint venture documentation, due diligence, and real estate tax structuring in the United States.
Waleed is an alumnus of UC Berkeley, where he studied Political Economics and honed his analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Prior to his current role, Waleed held positions at prestigious organizations such as Mubadala and Credit Suisse, where he gained valuable experience in real estate investment analysis and financial modeling.
