Bhavik R. Patel is a highly experienced attorney, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee at Sandberg Phoenix. He also serves as the Co-Chair of the firm’s Wealth and Special Needs Planning Groups. With a rich educational background that includes a JD in Law from the University of Arkansas, an LLM in Tax from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, an MBA in Strategic Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a BBA in Finance and Economics from the Georgia State University, Bhavik is a seasoned professional with expertise in areas such as wealth planning and administration, business/corporate planning, special needs planning, and probate and trust litigation.

Bhavik brings a practical perspective to his practice and works closely with accountants and financial advisors to ensure a comprehensive plan that helps his clients achieve their objectives in light of individual circumstances and values. He also advises his business clients on obtaining and optimizing minority certifications such as women-owned and minority-owned business enterprises and disadvantaged business enterprises.

Bhavik is considered an expert in special needs planning and has presented on a plethora of special needs topics for organizations such as St. Louis Arc, Life Skills, Albert Pujols Foundation, Edwardsville Special School District, and many more. Additionally, he utilizes his substantive knowledge in business and estate planning to effectively litigate contested probate, trust and business matters.

Bhavik has previously served as a board member for organizations such as St. Louis Zoo Association, Starkloff Disability Institute, Waigand Wheels, and Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition. He has also founded and chaired the board of Families at Ease.
