Francis Preve is an accomplished technology consultant, sound designer, and product strategist with over 20 years of experience in the field. He has worked with leading hardware and software synthesizers and has expertise in music production, XR environments, and audio content creation for media. His two decades of product analysis have provided him with a deep understanding of what defines successful technology. Francis is also a professor, guest lecturer, and panel moderator, with previous appearances at SXSW, Ableton Loop, NAMM, Project BBQ, and MacWorld. He has also pioneered the Scapes art form for synthesizing field recordings, with a focus on immersive platforms and ASMR. Francis is a Special Advisor for Music Technology Programming at SXSW and has previously served on the Board of Advisors for the Bob Moog Foundation. He was also an Editor At Large at Electronic Musician magazine and the founder and principal at Symplesound.
