Karl Hills is the Director of Technology for NIC's Oregon Division, with a strong background in IT management, infrastructure management, web development, security management, business development, payment processing, IT purchasing and planning, and IT hiring. He received his B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Tulsa and spent several years working with Internet startups focused on delivering web-based consumer applications. Karl leads a team of individuals at NIC who specialize in delivering highly available and secure eGovernment solutions to the State of Oregon. With experience as a business analyst and PeopleSoft Developer for Stephens, Inc., Karl Hills went on to become the Founder at 84boxes before joining NIC. He has also held positions as the General Manager and Director of Operations at NIC, the Chief Technology Officer at Capsearch, a PeopleSoft Developer at Staffmark, as well as many other positions in software engineering, website design and development, and business leadership.
