Lighthouse Point Self Storage

- Our team won second place in this commercial real estate competition where we evaluated a site-specific market analysis and created a financial proforma assessing the feasibility of the proposed shopping mall.  
- My partner and I created an extensive financial model that included weighted/unweighted rent rolls, a new-tenant value-added model, operating expense models, the analysis of different loan options, sensitivity analyses, etc. 
- I generated our team logo, project graphics and prepared our final packet for submission.

Sherman Miller Finance Competition

Team Leader

- Team leader who guided the completion of a ~73-acre residential development proposal.  I aided in conducting a thorough market analysis, creating a site layout in compliance with municipal coding, creating a relevant and feasible single-family residence product mix, and conducting and analyzing the project’s financial viability.
- I designed, compiled and completed the 100-page proposal packet in addition to creating all the marketing graphics and website designs.
- Placed 4th and 2nd nationally out of 43 and 35 teams, respectively.

NAHB Competition

- Awarded 3rd place in an international competition between collegiate teams that design, fund and build Net Zero solar/affordable homes.
- As an intern, my team and I built the modular home by hand and monitored/altered our systems to outperform our other competitors.  I helped coordinate crews and completed daily on-site tasks as well as analyzed the Richmond, CA market for affordable housing demands.
- This project strengthened my ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively.  The tolling nature of the physical labor helped foster a strength of mind and determination that has made subsequent competitions and projects much easier.
